Entering Seasonal Stress. Protecting Workplace Wellbeing. Let’s Talk About It.
The holidays may be starting to appear on the calendar, but so is the stress that can come with them. As the seasons change, life often seems to speed up; with more deadlines, family commitments, expenses, travel and the pressure to do it all while continuing to show up at work as though everything is fine.
For some people, this season brings joy. For others, it can feel complicated or difficult. And for many of us, it holds a little of both.
Stress doesn’t always make itself obvious. It may look like someone working later than usual, becoming quieter or less engaged, making more mistakes, missing meetings or simply seeming unlike themselves.
These signs do not necessarily mean someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, and managers are not expected to be therapists. They are simply a gentle reminder to notice, check-in and respond with care.
Seasonal stress can be easier to navigate when people know support is available before they urgently need it. A few thoughtful steps can make a meaningful difference.
- Keep mental health resources visible
- Remind employees where they can turn and how to access support
- Make the process as simple as possible
At Wire Health, we believe mental and behavioral health support should feel welcoming, personal and free from stigma. Workplace wellbeing is not about creating a place where no one ever feels stressed. It is about creating a place where no one has to carry that stress alone.
During this fall and winter season, let’s make space to check in a little more and to listen with a little more care. Remember that behind every deadline, email and performance goal is a person who deserves understanding and support. People first. Always.
Could you use some support?
You do not have to wait until things feel overwhelming to seek support. Start by reviewing your mental and behavioral health benefits, then reach out to your HR team or connect with Wire Health to explore the support available in your workplace.
